Background and Research Interests

Shiyi Xie earned her bachelor degree in Bioengineering in 2022. And she joined the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Michigan State University in August 2023. Shiyi is presently a Ph.D. student in Dr. Comstock’s lab. She is interested in the influence of maternal obesity on child growth and intestinal health， maternal & child health, gastrointestinal microbiota.
