    Character education is the process of learning common attitudes, beliefs and behaviors that are important for people to have as responsible citizens. Parents, teachers, 4-H volunteers and families can help youth positively develop character.

  • 4-H SPIN Clubs

    A 4-H SPIN club is a special interest club where five or more young people get together to learn about a topic of interest. The SPIN club model provides increased flexibility in when and how long groups meet.

    4-H livestock projects, including sheep, provide great opportunities for youth to learn about animal and veterinary science, as well as animal production practices while gaining valuable life skills such as responsibility and record-keeping.

  • 4-H Proud Equestrians Program

    A therapeutic horseback riding program for people with disabilities that helps to improve balance, coordination, posture and muscle tone. Opportunities to participate exist for riders, volunteers, instructors and horse owners.

  • 4-H Forestry Fun Camp

    A fun, interactive multi-day camp where youth learn to look at trees through a different lens. Hands-on activities help youth learn about forestry and forest management while exploring careers and earning digital badges.

    4-H offers a variety of opportunities for kids and adults to learn more about our global community and develop an appreciation for diverse perspectives and cultures.
