The American Association of Pesticide Safety Educators Program (AAPSE) has recognized Larry Olsen with its AAPSE Fellow award. This is the highest honor presented to an AAPSE member for their career accomplishments and contributions to pesticide safety education. AASPE President Michael Weaver made the following comments during the recent award ceremony in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. “Your contributions and accomplishments to the organization, agriculture and pesticide safety education are stellar. Under your leadership, the MSU Pesticide Safety and Education Program has become a model program. One nominator described you as ‘perhaps the most accomplished university coordinator in our profession.’ I would agree. You have served as one of us, and as an administrative leader at the state, region and federal levels. Your academic and government contributions are incredible. Others have recognized you for your many achievements with prestigious awards. It is about time we do the same. Thank you so much for all you have done for AAPSE and pesticide safety education throughout your career.”
