Michigan schools are sourcing from educational gardens as we head into harvest season. This August virtual meeting is designed for food program managers and educators from schools and early childcare and education sites who would like to incorporate produce grown onsite into their menus and meals.

Learn about how Drew Farm, part of Detroit Public Schools Community District, plans to have produce included in child nutrition programs in a conversation with Farm to School Program Manager Matthew Hargis. Wendy Crowley, Farm to Program Consultant with Michigan Department of Education, will highlight ways that 10 Cents a Meal can support local sourcing.

At this meeting, attendees can connect with people and resources that look at how using garden produce in a school food program can benefit school garden programs.
