Tasha Warfield is one of the Assistant Directors of Undergraduate Diversity in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Tasha serves as the coordinator for the Multicultural Apprenticeship Program (MAP). MAP is a pre-college program designed to allow high school students the opportunity to experience college life while learning more about the many educational and career opportunities in the agricultural and food science, natural resources and related field.

Warfield also serves as co-advisor for the MSU chapter of Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS). MANRRS is a national organization designed to support and promote academic and professional advancement of students in order to increase diversity the agriculture, natural resources and related sciences.

Prior to joining CANR, Warfield served as an Academic Advisor in Lyman Briggs College for a little over 6 years. Prior to her time at MSU Warfield has worked as a Human Resources Generalist at Vista Maria, Director of Housing at Jackson College, Community Director and then Assistant Director of Housing Operations at Wayne State University, Resident Director and then Complex Director at Michigan State University and Assistant Director of Campus Life for Diversity and Leadership Programming at Saint Xavier University.

Warfield has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communication from the University of Olivet, formerly known as Olivet College. A master’s in educational administration from Michigan State University. She earned both a second master’s in human resources management and certification in social justice from Marygrove College.
