  • Character Education

    Character education is the process of learning common attitudes, beliefs and behaviors that are important for people to have as responsible citizens. Parents, teachers, 4-H volunteers and families can help youth positively develop character.

  • 4-H Arts

    Art activities, including music, dance, art, writing, theater, sewing, knitting, crafts, photography, videography, wood-working and more, allow young people to express their creative side while gaining valuable life skills and confidence in themselves.

  • 4-H SPIN Clubs

    A 4-H SPIN club is a special interest club where five or more young people get together to learn about a topic of interest. The SPIN club model provides increased flexibility in when and how long groups meet.

  • Inclusive 4-H

    Blending different backgrounds together is a unique aspect of Michigan 4-H. Differences including people of diverse backgrounds, heritages, and physical and mental abilities are welcome, and encouraged, to join 4-H as a participant or volunteer.

  • 4-H Sheep Production & Management

    4-H livestock projects, including sheep, provide great opportunities for youth to learn about animal and veterinary science, as well as animal production practices while gaining valuable life skills such as responsibility and record-keeping.

  • 4-H Proud Equestrians Program

    A therapeutic horseback riding program for people with disabilities that helps to improve balance, coordination, posture and muscle tone. Opportunities to participate exist for riders, volunteers, instructors and horse owners.

  • 4-H Adulting 101

    Adulting 101 programming allows youth and young adults to gain skills and knowledge of useful information that will help them be successful in an ever changing world.

  • 4-H Scholarships & Recognition Program

    The 4-H Scholarship and Recognition Program provides both youth participants and 4-H volunteers with recognition and rewards for their work in 4-H.
