Research Interests
Dr. Garrity is a registered dietitian and intervention scientist whose work focuses on food and nutrition security, health-related social needs, and health equity. Her research emphasizes rural health and food access, with particular attention to household foodwork and the ways families navigate structural constraints around food and care. She employs community-based participatory and mixed methods approaches to design, evaluate, and inform food and nutrition policy and to support equitable, sustainable interventions across healthcare and community settings.
