Stacey Archer
Stacey Archer is the Occupational Safety Compliance Officer for the Michigan State University (MSU) College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR). In this role, she oversees occupational health and safety efforts across the college, supporting a safe and compliant work environment for faculty, staff and students.
Stacey conducts Tier 1 safety inspections, risk assessments and supports the development, implementation and auditing of the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System. She also assists with developing health and safety procedures and analyzes injury and illness data to identify trends and recommend long-term preventive measures.
In addition, Stacey investigates safety concerns and workplace injury or illness events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce future risk. She works closely with the Office of Environmental, Health and Safety, serving as a key point of contact for occupational health and safety matters within CANR.
Stacey holds a BBA from Northwood University studying Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain management. Prior to MSU, Stacey has over 20 years in Automotive Manufacturing. She led quality corrective actions and process improvements for GM and Tier 1 companies to improve customer relations and financial gains. In her last role prior to MSU, she managed Environmental, Health and Safety, Audits and upheld State/Federal Regulations. Stacey has successfully managed Fishbeck Audits, ISO IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 external audits.
She also holds other certifications in ISO Lead Auditor 45001/14001, Continuous Improvement, Quality Management Systems, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, MIOSHA Safety, USDOT HAZMAT, CPR, AED, First Aid and Blood Borne Pathogens.
Stacey has also been through Executive Leadership training with the National Society of Leadership & Success, including being a member of a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee.
