  1. Research, teaching and Extension outreach on alfalfa productivity and feed quality including alfalfa variety characteristics, drying differences, yield potentials and management systems that utilize precision agricultural in the production of alfalfa.
  2. Research, teaching and Extension outreach on soil and seed enhancements to increase forage yield and forage quality including:
    1. Sulfur fertilizers
    2. Biological enhancements
    3. Foliar fertilizers
  3. Research, teaching and Extension outreach on the management of grass/legume mixtures.
  4. Research, teaching and Extension outreach on the use of cover crops for soil improvement and livestock feed.
  5. Research, teaching and Extension outreach on Birdsfoot Trefoil establishment, production and management for use across all of Michigan in hay, silage and pasture systems.
