The MSU School of Planning, Design and Construction (SPDC) is pleased to announce that 12 students have been awarded the Peter and Linda Riguardi Travel Fellowship.

This exciting new opportunity is made possible by a gift recently made to Michigan State University by Peter and Linda Riguardi, which enables SPDC students to gain firsthand knowledge of major urban planning development projects through site visits around the world.

The fellowship is open to junior undergraduate students majoring in Urban & Regional Planning, Construction Management, Interior Design and Landscape Architecture (LA). Out of 27 applicants, students were selected based on GPA and a statement of purpose on how they think they will benefit from attending this trip hosted by JLL in New York.

The 2017 fellows will travel to New York City in August, and attend a five-day program conducted by JLL, where they will visit two sites: The Hudson Yards and The World Trade Center. Additional visits to sites and offices that pertain to each program as a group are also planned to enable all students to get a glimpse into the work of each program.
