School of Planning, Design and Construction hosts Allan Hodges for a lecture on planning careers

On Tuesday, Feb. 11, the School of Planning, Design and Construction’s Urban & Regional Planning (URP) Program is hosting a lecture on “Planning Careers in the Public and Private Sector: What to Expect.” Guest speaker Allan Hodges, FAICP, is the Senior Planning Manager at Parsons Brinckerhoff in Boston, Mass. He is also a 1967 Master’s degree alumnus from the URP Program. Hodges’ talk will focus on what planning-related careers students can expect upon graduation, and how versatile and adaptable a good planning education can be in the work place. He will highlight his personal professional experience in both the public and private sectors as examples. Hodges also will show how he used planning skills in several planning and environmental projects within the context of a global engineering consulting firm. This event is free and open to the public, and takes place from 1-2 p.m., in the Lake Ontario Room at the MSU Student Union.
