    Youth explore veterinary and animal science by learning to feed, train and care for bird projects, including chickens, turkeys, ducks and others.

  • 4-H Proud Equestrians Program

    A therapeutic horseback riding program for people with disabilities that helps to improve balance, coordination, posture and muscle tone. Opportunities to participate exist for riders, volunteers, instructors and horse owners.

    Youth explore veterinary and animal science by learning to feed, train and care for rabbit and cavy projects. This project area is especially great for youth in urban areas.

    The 4-H Scholarship and Recognition Program provides both youth participants and 4-H volunteers with recognition and rewards for their work in 4-H.

  • 4-H Science Blast in the Class

    Science Blast in the Class is a great resource for teachers in the classroom, those working in after-school programs or as part of a club. The guide includes 13 hands-on lessons as well as support materials to enrich the learning process.

    In the Michigan 4-H Shooting Sports program, members can learn safety and shooting techniques for shotgun, rifle, air pistol, muzzle loading and archery. They also learn how to handle firearms responsibly for target practice and hunting.

    A 4-H SPIN club is a special interest club where five or more young people get together to learn about a topic of interest. The SPIN club model provides increased flexibility in when and how long groups meet.
